PHYSICAL EDUCATION

PPTS is dedicated to contributing to the broad goals of education through the development of healthy lifestyle skills. By promoting teamwork, encouraging risk taking, fostering communication skills, engendering leadership and upholding respect for classmates and self, we challenge students physically, mentally and socially in hopes to nurture well rounded students.
Our PE programs are created using an individual evidence based approach by incorporating the Fitnessgram assessment in to our physical education classes. The assessment includes a variety of age appropriate fitness tests that measure aerobic capacity, muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility and body mass index. Our cutting edge classes include programs such as SPARK™ and Project Adventure. The comprehensive curriculum includes conditioning, endurance, sports skills, focus, team building, respect, as well as a muscle of the month feature.
